Massage has been performed for thousands of years, even before the dawn of medicine and surgery, to promote health and well-being.

This course will teach you how to deliver Swedish Body Massage in a holistic manner – treating the whole person in body, mind and spirit. With this approach you can adapt your treatments to suit your client’s needs and see for yourself how massage can really help with stress relief, physical ailments and emotional health.

We feel everyone should know how to massage – to be able to tap into this ancient art of human touch and natural healing to promote better health and standards of living on a daily basis.

Qualification Structure

Principles & Practice of Complementary Therapies:

• Historical origins of complementary therapies
• Different types of complementary therapies

Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology:

• Knowledge of all body systems & common disorders of each body system

Provide Body Massage:

• Knowledge, understanding & skills to prepare for and carry out a body massage treatment
• How to prepare self, client and work area for massage
• Consultation & professional skills and how to interact with clients and staff members
• Treatment planning, recommendations and adaptation of treatments for clients
• Knowledge of contra-indications and how to adapt treatments accordingly
• How to perform a treatment within a commercially acceptable time
• How to perform full body massage, back, neck, arm, leg, abdomen & facial massage
• Selection of different massage mediums/products
• History & philosophy of massage
• Classical massage movements
• Benefits of massage
• Location of underlying body structures
• Performing treatments to the satisfaction of the client with evaluation
• Provide suitable aftercare and home care advice
• Case studies

Massage with Anatomy & Physiology Course Cost: 

€1850 plus €150 Registration, Certification & Exam Fee. 

A €500 booking deposit is required to secure your place on this course;
